Weekly Corn and Wheat Exports Bearish

OMAHA (DTN) -- Thursday's weekly export sales report was bearish for corn and wheat, and bullish for soybeans, according to DTN Senior Analyst Darin Newsom.

Weekly export sales of corn showed a total of 49,100 mt (1.9 mb), all for 2012-2013. This is well below the 458,500 mt (18.0 mb) needed this week to stay on pace with USDA's demand projection of 1.15 bb. Weekly shipments of 205,300 mt (8.1 mb) were below the 634,300 mt (25.0 mb) needed this week. This report should be viewed as bearish, Newsom said.
