October soybean meal futures did not follow beans Wednesday and were slightly lower, closing at $427.00 down $1.80 with December down 80 cents per ton at $425.80. Cash soybean meal prices closed lower as well with southern Minnesota down $7.50, eastern Kansas and Georgia down $2.00, central Illinois down $12.00 and Iowa down $9.50.
