USDA Weekly Crop Progress

OMAHA (DTN) -- Corn and soybean condition ratings dropped as expected in the week ended Aug. 25, according to USDA's Crop Progress report, with a bigger share of the beans than the corn moving down from the good to excellent categories.

Soybean ratings slipped from 62% good to excellent last week to 58% this week. Eighty-four percent of the soybeans are setting pods, compared to 72% last week and a five-year average of 90%.
