Market Summary: May canola is $1.80/mt higher, May soybeans are 7 1/2 cents lower, May corn is 8 1/4 cents lower and May HRS is trading 8 1/4 lower. The Canadian dollar is 12 basis points lower.

Outside Markets

Asian markets closed lower on Monday with the Shanghai Composite down 2.9% and the Japanese Nikkei down 1%. Chinese economic data indicates that exports fell 18% from year-ago levels, which indicates a slowing in global demand and has weighed on markets. European markets are mixed.
