Asian markets closed higher on Friday. European markets are trading mixed after yesterday's rally. The Canadian equity index closed at 12,166.66, up 20.98 in Thursday's trade. In overnight futures, Dow futures are up 144 points, which should lead to a firm open in today's equity markets. The Canadian dollar is 4 points lower at $.9486 CAD/US dollar, while the U.S. dollar is .779 higher at 84.230. Gold is $13.10 lower at $1,239/ounce. NYMEX crude is 59 cents higher at $101.83/barrel. Brent crude is $1.05 higher at $106.59/barrel. ...
