Outside Markets

Asian markets were mostly higher on Tuesday, although Japan's Nikkei closed .2% lower after the country's manufacturing data showed increased output for the fourth month but at a rate below what was expected. European markets were mixed. The TSX closed 92.47 points higher on Monday due to higher commodity prices and gains in U.S. markets. Dow futures are 1 point lower overnight, pointing to what could be a weak open in North American equities Tuesday.
