Outside Markets

Asian markets are trading higher on Wednesday. Further weakness in the Japanese yen lifted the Nikkei to a 4-year high, ending 2.3% higher at 13,843.46. European markets are expected to follow the lead of the higher U.S. markets. The S&P/TSX closed 9.51 points higher Tuesday, ending at 12,100.19. Dow futures are 12 points higher overnight, which should support this morning's opening. The Canadian dollar is up 9 points at $.9739 CAD/U.S. dollar. The U.S. dollar is .121 lower at 83.065.
