Outside Markets

European equities are trading higher on Friday, following the lead of Asian stocks, which were also mostly higher, and also Dow futures that are currently 77 points higher overnight. Japan's Nikkei closed .7% higher, while China's Shanghai Composite Index closed 2.1% higher. Canada's TSX closed 49.05 higher at 11,996.34 in Thursday's trade. The Canadian dollar is 23 basis points higher at $.9747 CAD/U.S. dollar. The U.S. dollar is off slightly, at 82.595, down .086. Gold has staged a move over the $1,400 mark, currently up $19 to $1,411.50/ounce. Crude oil is 79 cents higher at $88.79/barrel. Brent crude ...
