Outside Markets

Asian markets were mixed Tuesday with Japan's Nikkei gaining 2%. European markets are currently lower on concerns about the Cypriot government's vote today regarding the proposed bank tax. The TSX closed lower on Monday, down 48.27 points at 12,781.76. Dow futures are up 2 points overnight, indicating a possible steady open for today's market. The Canadian dollar is 10 basis points lower at $.9778 CAD/U.S. dollar. The U.S. dollar is .014 lower at 82.885. Gold is $1.70 lower at $1,602.90/ounce.
