Asian markets traded mixed on Monday, with Japan's Nikkei being one of the few gainers, closing up .4% at 11,652.29. European stocks are trading weaker ahead of an EU finance ministers meeting along with ongoing political instability in Italy. The Canadian TSX closed at 12,773.12 on Friday, down 48.71 points on concerns of global growth, after having gained the previous three consecutive days. In overnight trade, the Dow futures traded 55 points lower to 14,019, which should lead the way to a defensive opening across North American equity markets.
