Outside Markets

Asian markets are trading mixed Thursday. Japan's Nikkei closed .8% higher at 9,545.16, its highest level since late April. European markets are trading higher. The TSX closed at 12,157.29 in Wednesday's trade, up 20.11 points. Dow futures were up 22 points overnight, which should provide support at Thursday's market open. The Canadian dollar is one basis point lower at $1.0084 CAD/U.S. dollar. The U.S. dollar is .051 higher at 79.815. Gold is steady at $1,692.60/mt, up 20 cents/ounce.
