Outside Markets

Japan's Nikkei closed down .3% lower at 9,432.46 in Tuesday's trade. Other Asian markets also lost ground, with poor manufacturing data released from the U.S. Monday. European markets are higher Tuesday. Canada's TSX equity market closed 69.62 lower in Monday's trade, ending the session at 12,169.74. The Canadian dollar is 4 basis points higher at $1.0053 CAD/U.S. dollar. The U.S. dollar has continued its slide, currently .137 lower at 79.735. Gold is trading $12.70 lower at $1,706.90/ounce.
