Informa Ups Corn Acreage Again

OMAHA (DTN) -- Private analytical firm Informa Economics upped its expectations for U.S. corn acreage to 99.3 million acres while lowering its soybean acreage estimate to 78.8 million acres.

Response to Informa's surveys show "a stronger intention to plant corn than Informa's analysis of historical economic response would imply, particularly in the Western Corn Belt," the acreage report stated, continuing a trend it noted in December.
