Informa Ups 2012 Corn, Soy Output Views

CHICAGO (Dow Jones) -- Private analytical firm Informa Economics on Friday estimated that U.S. corn and soybean production last year were greater than previously predicted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, according to traders.

The USDA on Jan. 11 will issue its final 2012 crop-production estimates, along with estimates of domestic grain and soybean stocks as of Dec. 1.

Informa estimated 2012 corn production of 10.801 billion bushels, with a national yield of 123.3 bushels an acre, according to traders. That would be higher than the USDA's previous estimates for production of 10.725 billion bushels and a yield of 122.3 ...
