USDA Weekly Crop Progress

OMAHA (DTN) -- The condition of the nation's winter wheat crop was considerably lower than it was the same time a year ago, according to USDA's first weekly crop progress report of the season released on Monday.

Only 34% of the winter wheat crop was rated in good-to-excellent condition during the week ended Sunday, March 31, compared to 58% a year ago, according to the NASS report.

DTN's Crop Condition Index also showed a significant drop in wheat conditions from this past year.
