Conway Spot Propane Near $5 Per Gallon

STREATOR, Ill. (DTN) -- Spot propane at the Conway supply hub in Kansas changed hands last at nearly $5 a gallon in light trading Thursday as a supply squeeze aggravated by extreme cold pulls strongly on already depleted Midwestern propane stocks.

U.S. propane stocks were drawn down another 3.4 million barrels (bbl) to 35.3 million bbl during the week-ended Jan. 17, now at a 42.0% year-over-year supply deficit, the Energy Information Administration data showed Thursday.
