GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures are mixed with front-month lean hog futures are holding strong triple-digit gains. Pressure is developing in cattle futures as traders appear to be focused on squaring positions at the end of the week. Corn futures are higher at midday. March corn futures are 1 cent per bushel higher. Stock markets are higher in light trade. The Dow Jones is 18 points higher while Nasdaq is up 7 points.
