DTN Midday Livestock Comments

GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock trade has been a moving target through the morning with prices in both the cattle and hog markets shifting from moderate losses to moderate gains during morning trade. Firm support is being established in both front month live cattle and lean hog future, although volume remains uncertain. Corn futures are higher at midday. March corn futures are 1 cent per bushel higher. Stock markets are higher in light trade. The Dow Jones is 103 points higher while Nasdaq is up 17 points.
