DTN Midday Livestock Comments

GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures are mixed at midday with traders quickly jumping back into the lean hog market before the end of the week. Live cattle futures are mixed in a very narrow range. Little long-term direction is expected to be seen before closing bell with prices expected to coast into the weekend break at current levels. Corn futures are mixed at midday. September corn futures are holding 2-cent losses. Stock markets are higher in light trade. The Dow Jones is 17 points higher while Nasdaq is up 5 points.
