GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures are mostly higher as moderate to strong gains in the cattle market are heavily influencing the complex. Feeder cattle futures are posting triple-digit gains in nearby contracts based on weakness in corn prices. Corn futures are lower at midday. September corn futures are holding 8-cent losses at midday. Stock markets are higher in light trade. The Dow Jones is 18 points higher while Nasdaq is up 26 points.
