GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures are holding moderate gains following quiet morning of trade on the complex. With markets closed on Thursday due to the Fourth of July holiday and livestock futures closing at 12:15 Wednesday, overall trader volume has been sluggish through the morning. Corn futures are lower at midday. September corn futures are holding 2 cent losses at midday. Stock markets are higher in light trade. The Dow Jones is 40 points higher while Nasdaq is up 4 points.
