GENERAL COMMENTS:

Short-bought cattle buyers are finally beginning to show some signs of life. Several thousand steers and heifers have traded in parts of the South at $120, fully steady with last week. We've seen a few bids of $118 live and $192-194 dressed in parts of Nebraska. Buying interest could heat-up over the noon hour and into early afternoon with packers at least moving closer to asking prices of $122 in the South and $195-196 in the North.
