DTN Midday Livestock Comments

GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures are trading lower in both the live cattle and lean hog markets. Traders remain concerned about the ability to move additional product through the spring. Trade volume remains extremely light, with most of the business for the week already done earlier in the week. Corn futures are trading lower at midday in light trade. May corn futures are holding 9 cent losses at midday. Stock markets are higher in light trade. The Dow Jones is 66 points higher while Nasdaq is up 15 points.
