GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures remain on a wild and emotional ride Thursday morning with aggressive losses developing early in the session, giving way to moderate to aggressive gains in the feeder cattle complex. There is still a lot of uncertainty surrounding fundamental support in the meat markets, but for now cattle futures have moved higher in nearby contract months. Corn futures are trading lower at midday in light trade. March corn futures are holding 4 cent losses at midday. Stock markets are mixed in light trade. The Dow Jones is 15 points lower while Nasdaq is up 4 points.
