GENERAL COMMENTS:

Moderate pressure has held livestock futures lower through most of the morning with traders focusing on the combination of the pressure in the grain market as well as uncertainty about beef and pork demand through the spring and summer months. The early pressure is easing in the live cattle futures, but it is uncertain if buyers will quickly jump back into the market. Corn futures are trading lower at midday in light trade.
