DTN Midday Livestock Comments

GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures have remained lower through most of the morning in both the live cattle and lean hog futures contracts. While lean hog futures are holding sharp losses at midday, the live cattle contracts seem intent on drawing additional support into the market following the early-day pressure. Corn futures are trading lower at midday in light trade. December corn futures are holding 6 cent gains at midday. Stock markets are mixed in light trade. The Dow Jones is 4 points lower while Nasdaq is up 8 points.
