Something must have happened to my brain on the way to Kansas City Monday. As I drove from Omaha to spend the week at the Ag Connect trade show, it got to the point I had to turn the air conditioner on in the car. Sure enough, the temperature in Kansas City upon arrival was a balmy 75 degrees.

Twenty-four hours later snow was flying, the temperature was near zero, and my brain had frozen to the point that coming up with a clear thought for this column was impossible. All I can say is Punxsutawney Phil better think long ...
