General Comments:

Corn closed up 1 1/2 cents in the September contract and up 1 1/2 cents in the December. Soybeans closed down 2 3/4 cents in the August and down 3/4 cent in the November. Wheat closed up 3 1/4 cents in the September Chicago contract, unchanged in the September Kansas City, and down 3/4 cent in the September Minneapolis. The September U.S. dollar index is up .42 at 83.67. August gold is down $11.40 at $1,244.30 while September silver is $.21 lower and September copper is $.0165 lower.
