Morning CME Globex Update:July corn is down 3 1/2 cents, July soybeans are down 2 cents, and July Chicago wheat is up 4 cents. Thursday morning's weather map shows a Corn Belt that is free of rain except for light patches in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin, favorable for planting. Western Kansas and the Texas panhandle are expecting light rain amounts on Thursday and for the next seven days. Dow Jones Newswires reported Wednesday evening that China's PMI manufacturing index dropped from 50.4 in April to 49.6 in May, less the lowest in seven months and a sign of contraction.
