Morning CME Globex Update: July corn is down 7 1/2 cents, July soybeans down 20 cents, and July Chicago wheat is down 11 cents. It is May 1st and a line of snow from Colorado to southern Minnesota is moving gradually eastward. Expected precipitation amounts are expected to lighten by the time they reach Indiana and that should help planting prospects somewhat. China's official manufacturing index fell from 50.9 to 50.6 in April, slightly weaker than expected, but still a sign of expansion.
