Last December, at the DTN/The Progressive Farmer Ag Summit in Chicago, I closed the proceedings with my outlook for 2013 titled "The End of the World as We Know It." One of the first questions I raised was: "Has the boom time of buying into commodities, from an investor (noncommercial) perspective, come to an end?" A look at the Three Kings of Commodities -- gold, crude oil, and corn -- would indicate that the glory days of the commodity sector may have indeed come to an abrupt end."
