General Comments

The U.S. stock market indices are lower with the Dow down 50. The interest rate products are lower. The dollar index is 1 lower. Energies are higher with crude oil up $1.50. Livestock trade is mixed with cattle higher and hogs lower. Precious metals are mixed with gold up $16.


Corn trade is 1 to 4 cents higher with light buying developing at midday after some early weakness. Ethanol margins narrowed slightly yesterday but remain strong and basis is stable. On the chart, December futures traded to a fresh low Tuesday at $3.78 1/4 which is now ...
