General Comments

The U.S. stock markets are higher with the Dow futures up 160. The interest rate products are lower. The dollar index is 31 lower. Energies are mixed with crude down $0.70. Livestock trade is mostly higher. Precious metals are lower with gold down $16.


Corn trade is 2 to 4 lower at midday with spillover pressure from beans dragging corn lower. Outside markets are supportive and the resumption of a down trend in the dollar should be supportive to the commodity market.
