OMAHA (DTN) -- December corn is down 3/4 cent, November soybeans are down 6 1/4 cents, and December Chicago wheat is up 3 1/4 cents. Grains are mixed with soybeans staying lower on the day as we near the close. Late Monday, Chinese companies agreed to buy 177 million bushels of U.S. soybeans for 2013-2014. The news reinforces notions that soybean supplies will be tight again in 2013-2014, but Tuesday's lower prices shows concerns that traders want to see more evidence from the upcoming harvest.
