GENERAL COMMENTS

Light to moderate trade is expected across the livestock futures market with firm support seen in both front month live cattle and lean hog futures. But longer term direction is much less clear as lack of interest may complicate the market direction before the long holiday break. Corn futures are trading lower in early electronic trade. Stock markets are trading mixed. Dow Jones Index is 2 points lower, while Nasdaq is up 8 points.
