GENERAL COMMENTS

Moderate to strong gains are developing Thursday as both cattle and hog futures are pointing to higher cash values at the end of the week which may draw additional futures interest back into the market. With markets closing early Thursday and remaining dark Friday for the Fourth of July holiday, trade interest is likely to remain limited as some traders have already accomplished any business that needed to be done. Corn futures are trading higher in early electronic trade. Stock markets are trading higher. Dow Jones Index is 40 points higher, while Nasdaq is up 15 points.
