OMAHA (DTN) -- The price separation between nearby and deferred lean hog futures continues to widen with July futures holding a 72 cent per cwt gain at midday, while deferred early 2015 contracts are holding $1.70 per cwt. August feeder cattle futures are nearing the daily trading limit of $3 per cwt with gains over $2.70 per cwt at midday. Strong gains continue to hold though nearby live cattle contracts with traders focusing on potential additional fundamental support.
