GENERAL COMMENTS:

There was a little cash cattle business reported Tuesday in Nebraska at $155 live and $248 dressed, and in Iowa at $245 to $248 dressed. Asking prices are not well defined. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base is $3.30 lower compared with the Prior Day settlement ($109.00-$112.50, weighted average $110.46). Corn futures closed marginally higher, up 1 3/4 in the September and up 3/4 in the December.
