GENERAL COMMENTS:

Activity in feedlot country was typically limited to the distribution of new showlists. The offering appears to be generally larger than last week, especially in Texas. A few showlists have been initially priced around $162 pus in the South and $253 to $255-plus in the North. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base is $0.52 lower compared with the Prior Day settlement ($103.00-$114.00, weighted average $113.81).
