GENERAL COMMENTS:

Scattered sales were reported in parts of cattle country with prices generally lower than last week (though volume seemed too thin to identify a definite trend). Some cattle were marked at $161 in parts of Texas, about a buck below that state's weighted average last week). A sample of dressed deals in parts of the North ranged from $253-$255, $1-$3 short of last week's weighted average basis Nebraska.
