GENERAL COMMENTS:

Cash cattle market activity remains typically slow for a Tuesday. A bid of $152 per cwt is seen in Texas through the day, but other than that, packer interest has been undeveloped. More interest is likely to be seen through the middle of the week. Asking prices are seen around $158 in the South and $248-$250 in the North. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base is 0.51 lower compared with the Prior Day settlement ($119.00-$133.00, weighted average $132.18). Corn futures posted moderate to strong pressure as traders retracted early week gains which developed Monday. ...
