LOUISVILLE, Ky. (DTN) -- U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan challenged FFA members to realize the power of education and to work to make the education system better.

Duncan addressed the fourth general session at the 86th annual convention and expo of the National FFA Organization Friday morning in Louisville, Ky.

Prior to his on-stage address, the secretary spoke with reporters about the importance of the future of ag education and the state of the American education system as funding atrophies and test scores show a loss of competitiveness.
