As the 1970s rolled into the farm crisis of the 1980s, Larry Klumb enrolled in the then new economic management program by the South Dakota Center for Farm/Ranch Management at Mitchell Technical Institute (MTI). He credits the program with saving his family's operation. A generation later, along with his sons, Ben and Shannon, the Klumbs continue on with their business near Ethan, S.D.
