Discipline. Hard work. Patriotism. These adjectives could describe many an American farmer. However, there’s a unique group of farmers who exemplify these qualities in the ultimate way. They are our nation’s veterans who, after leaving military service, join the ranks of America’s farmers.

Tyler Albers served for five years in the Marine Corps from 2004 to 2009, completing three tours in Iraq. Today, he’s growing vegetables on 8 acres in northeast Iowa.
