LANGDON, Mo. (DTN) -- To modify genetically or not to modify, that is the question. There is no shortage of controversy about the best way to boost food production as world populations swell. But regardless of whether plants or animals are conventionally bred or are genetically modified organisms, we still need plain old family farmers, born and bred to do the work.

That's the way it is for View From the Cab farmers Kane Bercaw of Union City, Mich., and William "Shep" Sheppard of Louisiana, Mo., as they labor to bring in another crop.
