(Dow Jones) -- SovEcon agricultural analysts see Russia heading for record wheat exports this year and the country may break into new markets even though it is facing heavy criticism from the U.S. and Europe for its involvement in the conflict in Ukraine.

Russia and Ukraine together make up one-fifth of global wheat export volumes, and Andrey Sizov Jr., chief executive of SovEcon, a prominent Moscow-based agricultural consultancy, said he doesn't envision any disruptions as a result of the conflict between the two nations.
