If you have been paying attention to the grain markets this year, you are well aware that the corn and soybean crops are looking good as we head into August. USDA said Monday that 73% of the corn and 71% of the soybeans are in good-to-excellent condition. Widespread rain is expected across the Midwest this week and temperatures are expected to stay on the mild side through August. At this point of the season, it is hard to imagine crops faring much better. For corn, the only question seems to be how much higher than 170 million bushels will yields ...
