MARKET SUMMARY

HRS finished 1/4 to 5 1/4 higher, HRW closed 2 1/2 cents lower to 7 cents higher, corn ended 1 3/4 to 3 1/4 higher, soybeans finished 12 3/4 to 21 1/4 cents higher, while canola closed $.70/mt lower to $10.30/mt higher.

OUTSIDE MARKETS

In early afternoon trade, the TSX equity index was up 41 points at 15,015, despite losses in U.S. equity indexes. The Canadian dollar was 35 basis points higher at $.9340 CAD/USD, the highest levels seen since the first week of January on the continuous chart. Gold was $6.50 lower at $1,316.10/ounce.
