General Comments:

Corn futures ended the day slightly higher after the USDA estimated fall corn harvest at 14.03 billion bushels, with forecasted yields to be 167.4 bushels per acre. The USDA yield estimate would be an all-time high, but it was lower than the trade average guess of 170 bpa. Adding a little support to corn as well was the USDA putting 2013-14 carryout at 1.18 billion bushels versus pre-report guesses of 1.25 billion bushels.
