DTN Retail Fertilizer Trends

OMAHA (DTN) -- Retail fertilizer prices continue to move lower, according to retailers tracked by DTN for the first week of August 2014. For the fourth week in a row, all eight major fertilizers slipped in price.

While all fertilizers continued their downward trek, only one dropped by any significant amount. UAN32 slipped 5% compared to a month earlier. Average price for the nitrogen fertilizer was $378/ton, down from a national average of $406 in mid-May.

The remaining seven fertilizers were lower but not down any important amount. DAP had an average price of $589/ton, MAP $608/ton, potash $474/ton, urea ...
